Food and the chef

Greg Magnusson grew up in San Francisco, where he remembers the food fondly. He later moved to the Santa Cruz area with his family. But Greg’s heart was always in food, so he returned to San Francisco to work at the acclaimed Cliff House Restaurant. Moving his way back down to Santa Cruz to be closer to his family, Greg also worked at the University Club in Los Gatos.

Combining his love of the Santa Cruz area and his ongoing interest in fine continental cuisine, Greg landed a job with the original owner of the Tyrolean Inn Restaurant. He’s now on his third set of owners, but Greg’s dedication to the integrity and quality of the food has never changed. Drawing on over 30 years of fine dining experience, Greg turns out delectable meals that draw customers from miles and miles away.
